Skotlantilainen
Ysolda Teague on julkaissut suosittuja neulekirjoja (mm. Little Red in the City, Whimsical Little Knits -kokoelmat) sekä useita ohjeita Ravelryssa, Twist Collectivessa ja Knitty.comissa. Ysoldan neulemalleissa yhdistyvät traditiot, naisellisuus mutta myös leikkimielisyys. Neuleiden suunnittelu eri vartalotyypeille on hänen vahvinta osaamistaan.

Stephen West on tällä hetkellä Amsterdamissa asuva amerikkalainen neulesuunnittelija,
jonka omaperäinen tyyli ja tapa yhdistellä värejä ja materiaaleja on kerännyt
hänelle faneja ympäri maailman. Hänen mallinsa ovat
Ravelryssa huippusuosittuja, ja niitä on julkaistu mm. Knitty.comissa sekä Jared Floodin Wool People -kokoelmassa.
Ysolda ja Stephen vierailevat vuorotellen TitiTyyssä ja Kerässä pitämässä kursseja, ja kurssien täyttyessä la 24.10. Kerässä järjestetään meet & greet -partyt, joista tiedotamme myöhemmin. Stephen järjestää kursseja TitiTyyssä tiistaina ja keskiviikkona, Ysolda taas torstaina ja perjantaina. Kursseille on rajallinen määrä paikkoja, ja ne tulevat myyntiin

Stephen
West uses his popular shawl designs to talk about shape, construction,
and drape. Students will knit a small triangular swatch while topics
such as cast ons, increases, bind offs, and blocking are discussed. You
will also learn some of Stephen’s favorite tips and tricks!
Color Play the Westknits Way! 85 €

This class is
all about showing off beautiful yarns with simple techniques combined in
clever ways. Techniques like stripes, slipped stitches, and holding
yarns together will be explored and combined to create bold
architectural fabrics. Stephen will show off a colorful array of
Westknits designs while encouraging you to look at yarn in a new way.

Knit
a stylish necklace or collar while exploring playful colorwork and
shaping techniques like Westknits' signature stripes and the Westknits
Shortcut Rows. Learn how to crochet away your fears while Stephen
fearlessly guides you through your own one of kind jewelry creation.
Simple pattern recipes for excessive accessories (excessories) will be
provided while you are encouraged to follow your own design process.
Tasteful tassels and pretty pom poms will be a serious topic of
discussion. Release the chains that tie you to conventional knitting
rules and techniques and use those chains to knit and crochet fabulous
works of art!

The Perfect Sweater 125 €
to 22.10.2015 klo 16-21*
In this fun workshop we’ll go through everything you need to successfully make perfectly fitted sweaters. We’ll cover matching the right yarn to your pattern, how to get the most out of swatching, and taking accurate measurements. Then we’ll put that information to use learning how to shape your sweater for the perfect fit and a flattering visual effect. This is a great chance to discuss the techniques and information in Little Red in the City and ask questions about shaping for your body. There will also be an opportunity to get hands on help with shaping techniques, such as short rows, that you’d like help with.
Beyond the Raglan 125 €

Top down sweaters are hugely popular and for good reason, but the most common style - the basic raglan - is only the beginning and can cause fitting problems. This class will cover the different types of sweater that can be knit from the top down and will explore ways to get the best fit in a top down sweater. We will look at shape of the body and different ways to work yokes that mimic this shape. Yoke styles covered will include: compound raglans; round yoke; saddle shoulders and set in sleeves and we will discuss the calculations involved in creating these. During the class knitters will work a mini swatch version of a seamless set in sleeve from the top down and should leave with the confidence to create their own top down sweater with any style of yoke.
